Christmas is definitely in full swing, mince pies have been made and mulled cider has been consumed. If you fancy something a little bit different this year how about making my eggnog layer cake, the final recipe for my collaboration with Stork this year. Three layers of spiced cake and a buttercream flavoured with bourbon, It's certainly festive but the not the usual cakes and bakes we are used to this time of year. If you dont get around to baking the cake before Christmas swings around no fear, simply ignore the name and call it a spiked spice cake, it really shouldn't just be for christmas anyway!
